A wonderful masterpiece. I often wonder how much thunder this woman has left in her Prada as she continues to out due herself in different ways. Gaga's Alejandro video is something quite spectacular and once again is multi-layered with meaning. It focuses mostly on the way she views gay relationships and the gay community as a whole. The military aspects are to describe the power of the gays and their unwillingness to let anything stand in their way or get them down as a community, How she envies their ability to love one another throughout all of the obstacles that gay life presents. It truly is one beautiful video and in my opinion her very best(Bad Romance being 2nd and Parazzi 3rd, Telephone 4th). Enough talking. See for yourself:
We'll did you like this recipe?
Once again the "LADY" has out done herself.. the one word to describe it is "AMAZING"
ReplyDeleteim sorry but i just didnt like it that much.....i admired the artistic vision she had for it......but i think i would of liked it more if it wasnt a music video, maybe if it was a PSA for gay rights or something.........but i just think that her artistic vision that she portrays in her music videos needs to overflow to her music......her music is still one dimensional catchy pop tracks......yet her videos are these mastery of prolific images and expressions.......i think MIA's new video for Born free is a great example of having both elements, the song is a message, while the video is also a message......NOT one or the other.........and i still feel people are being to easy on her with this whole madonna thing, but yet they crucify Xtina......ugh ignorant little Monsters!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThough I agree with the previous poster to an extint, we have to look outside the box. Gaga is more than a one dementional act. And though Xtina's new cd is great she is channeling GaGa image wise. Can't wait to see these 2 divas battle it out in some way...
ReplyDeleteI personally think Gaga's song are dementional with the exception of her first single "Just Dance" Telephone, for example, is actually about the presssures from her label and the buisness to produce music and keep the fire burning, and how her phone is constantly ringing and she hasnt really had time to really sit and enjoy life in a really long time. But, who wants to hear her sing about that?? SO she turned it towards a nagging boyfriend in the club song. Then she took the new meaning that she produced in the studio and turned it again in the video. The thing is, it fits whether we get it at first or not. Who wants a video that directly relates to the message of the song? No one. When you take something that we all think we understand and give it new meaning, you give the song, new life. And that is why most of Gaga's videos drastically move up on the charts once her video's are released. The truth is, no matter how we feel about her and her videos, she keeps us talking either way, and she also keeps us anticipating her videos and performances. And that's truth.
ReplyDeleteGoo goo for GAGA! I support everything she does because it's music, free expression and real artistry. I'm a proud lil' Monster!!!
