Brittany Murphy Dies at age 32

Shocking new this evening from TMZ who are reporting that Britanny Murphy who shot to fame for movies like Sin City, The Wrestler and Just Married died this morning from cardiac arrest.

TMZ bring us this:

A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.

We’re told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Sources tell TMZ Brittany Murphy’s mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. We’re told when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center — several miles away — and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Our thoughts go out to Murphy’s friends and family at this tragic time and we’ll bring you more info as we get it.

Meet the New Aston Martin Cygnet

I know, not exactly what you were expecting. The new Aston Martin is the newest member of the compact-mini-car group. This was a joint effort with Aston Martin and Toyota, which is why it looks slightly similar to the iQ.
You get all the luxuries of an Aston Martin in a compact package that seats four, although it look like a two seater to me. There is one little bitty catch: its only available to existing Aston Martin consumers. I know, it sucks. I guess one Martin for the highway, and one to crousie the city with. They look to be running about $35,000 which makes it the most expensive compact car on the market.

Macau’s Ponte 16 casino will display next year ten pieces of iconic Michael Jackson memorabilia, including the cream leather rhinestone glove he wore for his first Moonwalk performance on television.

Michael Jackson’s glove was sold to Hoffman Ma, deputy chief executive of the casino, at New York’s Julien’s Auctions at a whopping US$350,000.

Dior Hightop Sneaker 2010 spring

Spring 2010 will bring us the new Dior Homme Hightop sneaker. The lacing is what pulls me the most, which obviously stands out on the shoe. They will be released early 2010. I personally want the black ones with the white shoelaces, but I'm not sure ill be in the mood to do the re lacing myself.

Mercedes-Benz have worked with famed fashion photographer Nick Knight to shoot the newest Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG campaign.

Given a completely open brief, the english photographer teamed up with Gareth Pugh and model Julia Stegner to create a completely modern aesthetic fitting of the new vehicle, and the brands own aesthetic.

I stumbled across this little snack today! I'm not entirely sure if it is new but is one tasty little treat! It's from the design of Martin Braun and is also a unique piece. Whats sets this apart from other fine watches is it features a moon phase with the photorealistic moon on a glass disk, which might not be needed but is something very interesting.
The Kephalos also features an annual calendar. The retrograde date was designed so that the hand never covers the moon phase display. Pretty Neato. On discount, this watch will run you, $9,750.

Pernod Ricard-owned blended Scotch whisky brand is launching a bottle that flashes like a graphic equaliser in time to the music. The dark blue bottle was created by London-based packaging agency The Core and is part of Ballantine’s ‘Listen to Your Beat’ campaign.

The bottle design is modelled on a graphic equaliser, the dark blue spray coated bottle appears to react to the tonal quality of audio passing through it, by lighting up intermittently to achieve back-of-bar standout.

Sadly, the bottle is not being sold retail but is for use in pubs and nightclubs in Europe.

Rolling out across bars and nightclubs in the UK and other markets, the campaign is based on the idea that “by listening to your own beat and following your own instincts, you will make choices that leave an impression on others.”

"Hard" is the official third single by Rihanna, from her new album, Rated R, Which is what brought her to Los Angeles this week where she shot a video for the track with director Melina Matsoukas. And in keeping with the feel of the song, the video is equally tough: an over-the-top military exercise, only with a decidedly Rihanna touch.

"It's couture military," Rihanna explained. "Everything is surrounded around the idea of something military. We have tanks, we have troops, we've got helicopters, we've got explosions. We've got lots of cute outfits, lots of bullets. It's crazy."

Commemorating the 10th anniversary of the store, the Vans Chukka Low comes in an all black colorway, featuring a premium leather upper and a clean white sole. The sneaker is now available at 8FIVE2. Japanese brand Deluxe gives us another collaborative sneaker with the brand. This time they worked with Vans on the Authentic. It comes in a nice light grey colorway with blue accents, a blue leather stripe on the heel and a blue lining. December 8th.

fragment design meets Rolex

fragment design has gotten together with the Bamford Watch Department to customize some Rolex. This time they chose to work on the classic Explorer I. It comes in all matt black with black dial and and an accent color on the dial. There are overall three colorways available of the watch. A release date has not been announced. Air Jordan 25th Silver Anniversary

Part 3 of the Air Jordan 25th Silver Anniversary reveals itself as arguably one of the strongest previews to-date. The fan-favorite Air Jordan III, VIII and XIII is seen alongside more modern Jordan signatures, the XIX and the XX3. There are still two more parts (a total of 5) to come. I've personally never been a huge fan of Jordans, only a select few have really stood out to me. Never-the-less, Jordans are iconic and this aniversary set will show off full collection.

Jay-z Bouncers In Trouble

Bouncers for Jay-Z's "40/40" club in Atlantic City are currently under investigation for an attack which took place outside the venue over the weekend. Although cries of "cool out" and "dont hit him" were heard, around twelve employees of the club in Atlantic City beat two men in the parking lot. In the video that hit the net, workers can be seen kicking one man over and over after he hit the ground. THe Management persuaded the men (who were wearing military style black uniforms) to cease.
