Got Your Back

T.I. presents his new video for his new song 'Got Your Back.' It its a complete snorefest for me. I'm not a huge T.I. fan and im definitely not a Keri Hilson fan so i will try my best not be to biased. The song might have been a huge hit....about 3 years ago. It sounds like something T.I. has done over and over and the beat sounds like a leftover from Keri's last project. It's not a bad song, it just sounds like something I've heard a billion times before and doesn't seem like anything forward. Ever since his release from jail, T.I. has been lacking and hasn't quite been himself. Even his small part on 'Hello Goodmorning' was mediocore and was murdered by not only Rick Ross's verse, but also Minaj's. If T.I. is going to continue to rule his "king of the South" throne then he's gonna have to step it up or fade to black.

Kelly Rowland

Things are looking positive for Kelly Rowland's new project. Last I heard, the new cd was called 'Kelly Rowland' but then i heard something about her tweeting about having fans pics the album title [i have no idea] either way its shaping up to be at least a decent album. Commander is still my sh*t whenever i stumble upon it on the ipod and Rose Colored Glasses is growing on me. I'm wondering what the future holds for 'Smooches,' a single i heard earlier in the project that stirred up a small feud with Rowland and Teyana Taylor [side note: what are you doing with your life these days miss Taylor??? I'm going to find out for you guys, ill send her a Direct Message today]. Smooches is still a certified hit on the urban charts, all she needs a little Rick Ross or Nicki Minaj on the track and its a done deal. Anyway, i at least can't wait to see the tracklisting.

Below are a few guys messing around with some choreography for Kelly Rowland's version of thes song. My idea? Pick these guys up and put them in the video!!

'Your Love' Video

Here is the latest video for the current "it" girl, Nicki Minaj. Im not really a fan of the song but its doing really good for her on the charts. The video stars Nicki in a sort of artistic do-jo with Michael Jai White as her teacher and love interest. After some initial flirting one of his other 'students' notices the love connection and begins a brawl with Minaj over his affection.
It was a good attempt at doing something differnt. The majority of the film is made up only of fabric, with different fabrics representing different elements like water or the walls. With a little bit more effort this could have been an amazing video but it did fall a little short. Still, worth watching, and i still like the video overall. Take a peek:

You Lost Me

I have the premiere of Christina's new video and i have so say, i absolutely love it. It's hard not to try and over critique Aguilera these days, but this is a very good video. This also happens to be one of the best songs off the album and I'm hoping this video will help get the cd some sales. The video is rather simple, but its very engaging, pulling you right into the emotion of the lyrics of the song. What Aguilera pushes vocally can be seen visually. Very good editing on [director] Anthony Madler's part.
The problem i have with this song as a single, is i find it hard to be heard on radio in heavy rotation, no matter how i good i think it is. You can see the video in full right here.

The Return

Sorry for the ridiculously long break!! ive been enjoying my vacation months. Ill be back full throttle very soon!

Our Favorite Racist: Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson has once again been caught with racist words comming from his mouth. Recently, Gibson has been at war with his ex-girlfriend over his 8 month year old daughter, Lucia Anne. Oksana, his ex, says that she recorded the audio cause she feared for her life from all of the threats that Mel communicated. Allegedly, there are a few tapes yet to be released, where Gibson says things like “I am going to come and burn the f**king house down… but you will blow me first.”
Can't wait to hear the others, but for now, here's the one we have:

New Usher Album

After success of his latest album single 'OMG' Mr. Raymond will continue the trend with the release of a new mini album entitled 'Versus.' It's in the same vein as Gaga's 'The Fame' and 'The Fame Monster.' The new track 'DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love' takes place in the same club scene as OMG. I was hoping for more tracks like OMG on the first CD but i think with a lot of R&B artist, its a little scary to go fully in the the euro-dance sound with confidence and many just put out a single track on their albums just to test the waters (i.e. Sweet Dreams-Beyonce, Please Don't Stop The Music-Rihanna). Now that he sees that's its probably the only real success on the album, his new track hints at the new mini album following in the same footsteps.

Gimmie That

Ciara has announced her second single from her future album release, 'Basic Instinct.' It's a fast pace track and is aimed at the U.S. club scene. I'll have to admit, at first listen, i absolutely hate it. It sounds dated and also boring, course i also felt the same way when i heard 'Ride' and it has brought her mild success. But, who am i to judge. Here's the track for everyone else to hear.

California Gays

Sorry for the delay but I've been on vacation in Puerto Rico. And I promise this is my last California Gurls parody! I stumbled upon this one and these guys did such an amazing job i had to give em a shout out. It features a small team of obvious gays and some really good amateur editing skills. Anyway take a look at these guys.

Misery Video

Here is the new video for Maroon 5's new track, Misery. Does anyone else thing Adam Levine is tooo pretty?

Tightrope Remix

As Jonelle Monae continues her slow world domination [at least I'm hoping] she now releases a remix video to her hit song "Tightrope." If you haven't peeked at this album yet then do so, cause its fabulous. The video features some vocals from B.O.B and Lupe Fiasco and is on a black and white canvas. I love Bob's verse but i especially enjoyed Monae the most! It was sort of unexpected and really put her in another light while pushing her into the spot of a 2010 Lauren Hill-type artist. Anywho, i loved it, take a look:

Can You Feel Me On You Stereo?

Alright, the title track from Kylie's new album, Aphrodite, will probably be on my next dessert tray but this is MY SHIT!!! This song has been on repeat and I've probably listened to it at least 30 times. It automatically puts me in serious mode and i immediately into transport into my own little music video with Kylie by my side. It feels amazing and i wish for nothing more than a single release and a music video. Most importantly i think this is ready for the U.S. which could be a major step for Miss Kylie. I dare you to turn it up in the ear phones and not jam out to this track.

Is This Mr. Gaga?

A couple of pictures surfaces from Vogue Hommes Japan and show photos of a fella who bares a remarkably close resemblance to Lady Gaga. A close look at the pictures looks like the gentleman might have boobs, but its hard to tell. What we do know, is if its not Gaga, this "person" should definitely get in contact with his long lost twin sister Stefani. The credited model is named Jo Calderon, and if it is Gaga, it definitely doesn't surprise me. What do you think?

Best Friggin Parody!!!

So im a huge fan of spoofs and parodies and this one is really great! The folks ever at Key of Awesome, really do some awesome parodies and this is one of their new ones based from Katy Perry's new song California Gurls. The team really goes all out and they humor is smart and funny. Check it out:

Update: Just found this too, not at funny, but still worth a watch:

Drake and West Being Sued

It seems like whenever someone or something becomes successful, everyone wants to stake claims that they were the reason for the success or simply, it was my friggin idea. So, I'm not surprised that both Drake and Kanye West are getting sued this week for stealing, especially since the songs in question are they're greatest hits.

Drake is being sued by Hugh Hefner [don't you have enough money?] and his Playboy Enterprises for sampling from a song that Playboy owns on his hit song "Best I Ever Had." The song's opener is allegedly sampled from a 1970's song "Fallin in Love."

Fallin In Love

Best I Ever Had

The songs definitely sound almost the same but, the real question is, why sue Drake? He didn't produce the track so shouldn't we be suing Boi-1da, the producer of the track?
This actually isn't the first time the track has been under scrutiny. Producer Kia Shine wanted songwriting credit on the track and part ownership of the song, since it briefly samples the beat of a Weezy track he produced. But, Drake very kindly said, No. Lets see if this accusation goes over as easy.

Now on the Yeezy. His dispute is far more ridiculous, especially since the song is old as shit. Why the hell are you suing after 3 years? Songwriter Vince P is suing Mr. West for plagiarism on his 2007 hit 'Stronger.' His claim states that West copied parts of a song that he sent to West's manager in 2007 when he was trying to get West to be an executive producer for his album. Some lyrics in question are "What don’t kill me make me stronger" [sir, you didn't originally make that up] and “couldn’t wait no longer" [nor that] as well as some references to Kate Moss.

Although this could be true, Vince P has lost his mind and here is the real reason this claim is ludicrous. He is not only seeking damages, but demands that distribution of the single discontinue, wants West to cease from performing the single, and that all remaining copies be destroyed.....*Blank Stare*
You've GOT to be kidding me.....where they do that at? (sigh) good luck, Vince.

Spaceship

Benny Bennasi is set to release a new untitled album this year and the first track from it features Kelis and a i piece of the Black Eyed Peas' Pie. Bennasi is definitely one of the best DJ's in the world and actually ranks on most lists for his amazingness. This new song and video don't disappoint and i feel bad for forgetting about such a great musical genius. It's not 'Satisfaction' but nothing ever will be. Kelis should definitely tried to get this on her Fleshtones album cause its Superior to anything on there.

The Pretty Reckless

Stepping up to the plate next is Taylor Momsen. The new girl is best known for her role as Jenny Humphrey on the popular tv show, Gossip Girls. But, Taylor is starting to move towards the music scene. With her band, The Pretty Reckless, Momsen come forward with a dark gritty edge. She is the same age as Miley Cyrus (17) but has a much more mature sound. I love her voice and the songs not too bad either. As the pop world starts to lighten up a little and move toward a happier sound, she will definitly stand out as the dark horse. I think everyone should def keep her eyes out for this one. Here is her viral video for 'Makes Me Wanna Die'

Any Which Way

This weekend at Glastonbury, the Scissor Sister performed one of the new songs from they're new album, 'Night Work.' I'm really becoming a fan of the scissor sisters every since i heard they're new song 'Fire with Fire' the duo has been coursing threw my veins. So, why didn't i put a picture of the Scissor Sister's up? During they're performance, they surprised everyone with a guest appearance from....KYLIE!! Kylie came out and completely owned the stage! It almost seemed as if they had formed a perfect trio, commanding the stage and the crowd with such power and control. Kyle herself is taking over the world and i am absolutely ecstatic about her new project. I had the opportunity to listen to the album in full, and i haven't stopped since. I am looking forward to purchasing the full deluxe. It is very refreshing and i am glad to see her back in fighting form. I'm sure this album will become one of her most successful. It seems like this could do what 'Confessions' did for the Madge. Rock on, Mingogue.

Chris Brown Finally Gets His MJ Tribute

Around the Anniversary of the legendary King Of Pops devastating departure from our lives, Chris Brown got the chance at the BET Awards 2010 to finally pay his tribute to iconic Michael Jackson. I have to say that although i am far from being any kind of "fan" of Browns, he did a perfect job. It's hard to say if the whole, break down and crying spell was legit, but it seems so. This is the same stage that denied him a year ago, and this is a moment where, career speaking, things aren't really going well for him. The public and some of his peers still continue to hate on him for the Rhinanna incident, and here we see him giving his all on stage in front of his peers, as they cheer him on. It could be genuine emotion, or just another plea for everyone to forgive him. Who knows. Either way, good job, Chris.

Gaga Debuts New Song

Gaga performed at Elton John’s 12th annual White Tie & Tiara Ball to raise money. The song is entitled 'You and I' and is set to be featured on the Lady's next album due early. Right now, its seems more in the vain of 'Speechless' but who knows how the final product will turn out.

Each Other

Anyone that's been reading has noticed i fell off the Kelly Rowland band-wagon. With all the leaks i have been slowly giving up on this new project. It seems to be all over the place and Kelly, although close, just can't seem to nail it....in my opinion. This new track gives me hope again for her and i really hope she creates something very unique and special. I at least get the feeling now that there will be a few tracks that i can at least like to listen to from the album. Anywho, here is another leak, and a good one at that, although it seems unfinished.

Alternate Version Of Alejandro

Today i bring you the premiere of Lady Gaga's alternate version of her "Alejandro" video and for anyone thinking that the original cut was too much, this one tones it down a bit. It's not only shorter but it hits the message directly and gets straight to the point. Flawless. Take a peek for yourself.

The Dessert Tray

UHere's My New Dessert Tray. These songs are some of the best out right now and i have listened to them over and over and have completely fallen in love with them. The song's on this list have actually sorta themed together and a apart of a small summer collection of songs that i will be jamming to throughout the summer. So take a listen:

Alive

The sound of Goldfrapp's new album is pure 80s and the most outstanding track in my eyes is Alive. Its pure love and fun and i absolutely adore the video, which you can find in an earlier post. Her entire Head First album is worthy of a listen.

Difficult

Uffie has been underground for what seems like forever and im so glad she's finally giving us a full official release cd. And its absolutely wonderful. Difficult almost has a Paper Planes [M.I.A.] feel to it but its still very different. And although at times she may sound like a Ke$ha, know that she was not only here WAY before Ke$ha, but is also more mature and actually knows what the hell she's doing. I hope her new cd, 'Sex, Jeans, and Denim Jeans' becomes the hit that it is.

Currency

This being probably the dark horse in the group, Currency is one on my favorite 'hood' tracks from Trina's latest LP 'Amazin' It's simply a guilty pleasure, one of those tracks you just can't get out of your head and if she is to release this as a single, its sure to be a club hit.

Clap Your Hands

I had the privilege of hearing her entire new album and its is absolutely refreshing and fun. I'm actually upset that i hadn't really given her a spin sooner and if you enjoy really good music, you will be too. This track, however, seems to follow me around everywhere and i absolutely love it. Its just....delicious.

Someone's Missing

It's a very unique track and simply beautiful to me. I'm actually not really sure what it is but its soo lovely to to me. MGMT has been in my heart since the'r last album and sparked my soul with "Electric Feel." Their new album is very well constructed and i love listening to it early Sunday mornings.

Elastic Love

As the flames from Aguilera's Bionic crash continue to burn out of control worse than the huge-ass oil spill, there is some things definitely worth grabbing and cleaning off in order to appreciate its value. Elastic Love is by far the best track from the album. It's lyrically and vocally apealling and contructed beautifully and it's definitely better than its ugly cousin, Bionic, the title track from the album. Before you pick up your pitch-fork and torch and get behind the angry mob, take a quick listen.

Honarable Mentions
We Are Born - Sia
Won't Back Down - Sia
Who's my Bitch - Paradiso Girls
MCs Can Kiss - Uffie
Sex, Jeans, and Denim Jeans - Uffie
Tigerlily - La Roux
Fembot - Robyn

New Glee Additions

It's official, Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco will join the cast of Glee. It's no doubt that the 18 year old girl can freakin sing and i am more than glad that she'll be joining the show in the form of an exchange student. There is also rumor that she will be in huge competition with Rachel Berry and that a small feud will ensue. Yea, im lookin really forward to it. Hopefully it will also boost her career.

Cant Be Tamed Remix

Here's the remix to Miley's latest 'Can't Be Tamed' and features the presence of Lil' Jon. It's a great remix to an already great track and might push the to song back up the charts, but no likely. I'm thinkin its about time to focus on the next track from her new project. anywho....

Can't Be Tamed Remix

New Maroon 5 Track

Today i present the new single by Maroon 5 entitled Misery from their new album Hands All Over. The song sounds like the average Maroon song, about love and lusting over someone and the difficulties that come with that. It's the same formula of almost ever Maroon 5 song and much hasn't changed from the last songs, but honestly, that's why we like em.

Misery

REAL Commander Video

I really like the final cut of the video. Kelly looks primed and ready and looks 'official' in this version. She has made me recognize the song again and i really hope she promotes the album here in the states. Either way, i wish her luck on the climb up the UK charts where she's definitely headed and i think this is the perfect time to release the video, which i didn't really see before. Now if we could just focus on global domination and not focus on these r&b, US radio, trash leaks, we could be well on our way to Rowland Domination.

California Gurls

Here is the premiere of Katy Perry's new video for her new hit, California Gurls. It's got a really cool Candyland theme, and is absolutely delicious. It's obvious she is pulling inspiration from my blog. Anywho, take a look, leave a comment.

Got Dat Work

I'm all about up and coming artist and I'm here to present the new hottest acts around. I'm actually quite confused as to why these two haven't been discovered till now. I was visiting a neighbor blog The Prophet Blog and stumbled across the unbelievable duo of Memphis Blac and Smokahontas Jones. We haven't seen a group of this caliber since the Judd sisters. Not only do I think this will be the hit single of the summer, but, i think this may go down as the best video and single in history.
The song is not only moving but also inspiring, encouraging everyone in such a economic stir to appreciate the jobs they have and also ALWAYS always play to you strengths.
Memphis Blac says " Yeah I got that work / I ain’t sellin’ powder, weed or pills, just what’s under my skirt!" It states the importance of playing to your strengths and allowing others to also appreciate your gifts and abilities. Now that Rihanna, Britney, Aguilera and the gang have been going risque (including Miley Cyrus) and throwing away any sight of moral positive values, its time for little girls to have a whole new inspirations to look forward to. So i finally present to you guys, Memphis Blac and Smokahontas Jones, the future of music.

VH1's Storytellers

Last night, Aguilera performed on VH1's legendary Storytellers. She got the chance to sing some of her hits from her extensive collection as well as speak and tell stories about songs and life experiences as well as her ideals. For me it was all to o, diva-licious for me. I was hoping to feel more personal to Christina, but i didn't. All we got was her "Sasha Fierce" persona. Also, there were definitely a few minor vocal issues. BUT, still an amazing vocalist and performer. Here are a couple of clips:

If I Had You

Im starting to think that I am the only person left that wishes Glambert would just give up and switch back to drag so that Rupaul can have a suitable replacement. No mater what i think, Adam has released a new video and it the first one that i actually dont mind. I think he's finally getting in his own little lane and staying off the ones we all know he shouldnt. Here it is, 'If I Had You'

In other news dealling with glamorous makeup, Lance Bass has recently done a couple of glam photo shoots, take a look:

Glee Turns It At The Tony's

Lea Michele and Mathew Morrison performed last night at the Tony Awards and for the few people out there thinking that the shows use of auto-tune was to hide how untalented their voices might be (or just didn't watch the pilot episode) we're silenced with their two sparkling performances. It wasn't superior BUT it was really really good. Take a look:

Who's My Bitch

The is the European answer to the PCD dolls. Think Nicole and the Gang plus bluntly explicit minus a lead singer and you have Paradiso Girls. They are fun, and although may look like very good knock-offs of PCD for some reason i think they have a lot to offer us. Take a look:

Alejandro Video Premiere

A wonderful masterpiece. I often wonder how much thunder this woman has left in her Prada as she continues to out due herself in different ways. Gaga's Alejandro video is something quite spectacular and once again is multi-layered with meaning. It focuses mostly on the way she views gay relationships and the gay community as a whole. The military aspects are to describe the power of the gays and their unwillingness to let anything stand in their way or get them down as a community, How she envies their ability to love one another throughout all of the obstacles that gay life presents. It truly is one beautiful video and in my opinion her very best(Bad Romance being 2nd and Parazzi 3rd, Telephone 4th). Enough talking. See for yourself:

We'll did you like this recipe?

Expensive Body Parts

In Hollywood, many celebrities and A-listers surround themselves with endorsments and companys pay big bucks to not only get these celebs to be the face for there products but, depending on the product, also they take investments into their body parts. So in order to protect themselves, many celebrities get they're parts insured, you know, in case of an emergency. Take a look at some pretty rediculous investments.

Jennifer Lopez

J-Lo had her butt insured for 27 million dollars and she also had her hair insured for 50 million.

America Ferrara

America Ferrera, the Ugly Bettystar's brace-face shot her to superstardom, so the US actor quite literally chose to put her money to insure her teeth and smile.

David Beckham

After securing a couple of Armani ads, Beckham had is entire body insured for 200 million dollars.

Mariah Carey

After signing up for the "Legs of a Goddess" campain back in 2006, Carey got her legs insured for a rediculous 1 Billion dollars!

Goldfrapp Video

If you still haven't heard Goldfrapp's new album 'Head First' its absolutely amazing! She comes forthe with her second single from the album Alive and i absolutely adore the vid! anyway, take a look.
